Here we are, now in the middle of 2025. There has been an upheaval in the global economy and clothing industry, undoubtedly, is one of the most affected sectors. For China, a ceasefire of the trade war with the U.S. is now in place. This might be the only one shot in 2025 for foreign importers to source more high-quality products from China.
Still, some interludes are happening. Beyond the policy changes, the whole clothing industry still is facing something new. Let’s stay focused on what truly matters today and take a clearer look in this industry together.
Policy
U.S. Senators Whitehouse and Graham introduced a bipartisan bill to close the de minimis loophole, aiming to curb low-cost imports from evading tariffs. Supported by NCTO, the bill seeks to protect domestic industry and supply chains by enhancing trade regulation.

From Arabella's prospective, the closure of the de minimis might be a big challenge for D2C sellers. However, it might also a chance for having some business transitions.
Fiber
