Avient Corporation (the top technology company provides sustainable techniques and materials) announced on Nov.28th that a latest black colorant capable to offer strongest and high-end tones for cars, apparels and furniture, would officially apply in their latest product series, Renol. The colorant shows its outstanding effects in black and except that, it reduced the procedures and time of coloring in trims and yarn dyeing. Comparing to the conventional dyeing process, this colorant is able to make the yarns getting rid of water, which provides a more environmental way to dye.

On Nov.29th, the leading of sustainable material & technology company Avantium.N.V announced the collaboration with the PANGAIA, a company that focusing on providing environmental and innovative apparel and materials. PANGAIA will make the purchase in Avantium.N.V ‘s latest material named PEF, which is made of 100% plant-based polymer, then applies them in their latest apparel collection. It is considered that PEF has a great potential taking the place of the PET fibers.

Trends&Catwalks

 

It seems ballet core aesthetics is never out of style. After the tik tok trend: #balletcore set up a rush in the end of 2022, it just come back to alive on parts of SS24 runways lately. The enduring trend kept showing on many masterpieces of fashion designers such as Marie Adam-Leenaerdt’s “a holiday collection”, Hanako Maeda and Tiler Peck’s “Launchmetrics Spotlight” and Alain Paul’s “The Rite of Spring”.

There is no doubt that the latest expo ISPO Munich caught most people’s eyes. On Dec.1st, the famous Europe fashion news network Fashion United just finished an interview for parts of exhibitors’ feedback of the expo. (Arabella team also launched a latest journal for this expo, check it out here)

It is said that the situation of this expo was much better than last year-apparently due to the end of pandemic. There were in total 2400 exhibitors took part in the expo and 93% were foreigners. Among these, the season-less outdoor wear and equipment might become the highlights of this expo.

The global color authority Pantone unveiled the color of year 2024 would be “Peach Fuzz” (13-1023) on Dec.8th. Described as a “heartfelt kindness”, the Peach Fuzz provides a feelings of tenderness, caring and sharing. At the same time, Pantone has collaborated with a numbers of brand to discover in new ways for consumers.

Dec.5th, one of leading sportswear brand Puma unveils that the plan Re: Fibre will apply in the manufacturing of soccer jerseys for its new series, global soccer contest UEFA and Cupa America.

Re:Fibre is one kind of raw materials made of recycling plastics. Now it expands the sources for making recycling materials, not only plastics, but also contains factory wastes and wrapped clothes. The project is aiming to diverse the sources of recycling fibers in fashion industry. Puma expects that their raw material will become 100% polymers in the future.
